How to Duel a Friend at Trivia

Duels are turn-based, so nobody has to be online at the same time. Send a link, play your three questions, and your opponent answers whenever it suits them.

A Quizmondo duel is not a race against someone staring at the same screen. It is turn-based, like playing chess by post: you take your turn, they take theirs, and the app keeps score. Neither of you has to be free at the same moment.

Starting one

  1. From the Arena, choose to start a duel. You get a match with its own code and link.
  2. Share it. There is a WhatsApp invite button that writes the message for you, or you can copy the link anywhere.
  3. Your friend taps the link. They can play as a guest, so there is nothing to install and no sign-up wall.

How a round works

Each round is three questions from one category, and both players get the identical three, so the comparison is fair. Points come from being right and from being quick, so a confident fast answer beats a cautious slow one.

When you have both finished a round, you see a question-by-question breakdown of who got what. Then a fresh category is drawn and the next round begins, led off by whoever caught up last.

If they take their time

Nothing is lost while you wait. The match sits in your lobby and you can send a nudge, which writes another WhatsApp message pointing at the same link. If they never come back, you can hand the match to the bot and finish it anyway.
